SDG 6: The Central idea behind all Sustainable Development Goals
ABSTRACT
The article describes the purpose of achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Water and Sanitation for All) and how it can contribute to other SDGs. The report also closely looks into the implementation of SDG 6 in an Indian Scenario stating facts, figures, and provisions taken by the government of India throughout the years to tackle the problem of water scarcity and sanitation.
INTRODUCTION
The sustainable development goals are a collection of 17 Global goals which are interlinked to each other. 17 SDGs are End poverty, End hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure, reduce inequality, sustainable cities, and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice and store institutions, partnerships for the goals. The transformative vision and ambition of Member States to end poverty and hunger everywhere, to combat inequalities within and among countries, to build peaceful, just, and inclusive societies, and to protect human rights are at the heart of the 2030 Agenda.
